Nigerian dancehall/ragga singer and songwriter, Blackface Naija has rekindled his beef with 2Face after the release of his latest song, War. The song is a violent diss supposedly aimed at the “African Queen” hitmaker following their long feud which started over 15 years ago.
Blackface and 2Face go way back even before Nigerian Afrobeat music was as popular as it is today. The two were in a musical band which later broke up in 2004 after 2Face released his debut solo album, Face2Face
Apparently, 2Face stole the song “African Queen” from Blackface which was not only the most streamed song in the album but also 2Face’s biggest hit to date. In 2014, Blackface slammed 2Face again after the release of his hit song “Let Somebody Love You” which allegedly contained lyrics written by Blackface.
2Face has tried to stay clear of his beef with Blackface but the war is far from over. Just last year, 2Face sued Blackface for N50 Million over allegations that he stole the copyrights to his songs. The proceedings of the lawsuit were not clear as 2Face said that his lawyers were “handling it”
Blackface Naija is now back with yet another diss song, War, where he openly attacks 2Face for “sabotaging his music”. In the song, Blackface attacks both 2Face and his manager for plotting to seal his songs and destroy his musical career. He also slams him calling him gay, a dog, and unoriginal
