Diamond Platnumz seems to find new ways to keep his career on the limelight, and whether his moves are deliberate or not, they sure as hell keep his name on the buzz. In his latest “accident”, the Kwangaru hit singer fell off stage while performing at the Wasafi Festival in Sumbawanga. The show had been cancelled the previous day thanks to the heavy rains in the area, only for it to be cut short again after the fall.
The Tanzanian hit singer has seen a great year in 2018 after releasing countless hits from “Baila” and “Niache” to “Kwangwaru” and “Pamela”. Diamond’s hit song “Eneka” also won him the East African Best Music Video Award while “Marry You” saw him take the African Song of the Year Award. His latest album, A Boy from Tandale, has taken over the African Entertainment chats and we can only expect the numbers to grow. The popular “Jibebe” collabo with Mbosso and Lava Lava has also seen the Bongo Flava artist gain a bigger fan base in East Africa after the #JibebeChallenge.
Back to Sumbawanga, Diamond Platnumz seemed a bit too eager to get the crowd motivated but the dais was, apparently, not too enthusiastic. After taking one too many violent jumps from the Wasafi crew, the platform broke and let everybody down, again. Fans have since rumored that there is a ‘dark aura’ following the Wasafi king but… let’s not get crazy
