Dr Kingori narrated his hustle before he made it and got a TV show during primetime.
Speaking on his show, The Wicked Edition, the funny man talked about some of the big blows he has faced in Nairobi that are unforgettable and some of his lowest moments.
Dr King’ori is a big name in the entertainment industry but just like most celebrities he has had his fair share of struggles when climbing the ladder, the unforgettable life lessons being in Nairobi.
King’ori was born and raised in Embu but in a quest to make it, he took a bold step in coming to find his path in the capital city like most individuals.

Kingori has a deep seated urge to get into acting which was his passion then after a long struggle got his spot in the comedy industry on Churchill show.
One may think that just being on screen means the individual is loaded with cash, well that could be it in some instances but for some it takes time and effort to establish himself/herself and grow.
For comedian Eddie Butita and YY who were present in the show, they talked about Dr King’ori who is their close friend earning Ksh 12,000 per month which was a good enough money for them at the time.
This is bearing in mind the background they were from.
Dr. Kingori was “balling” in terms of he owned a home theatre in his house, problem was the mosquitos in his tiny apartment.
The apartment was a home to mosquitoes that made it impossible for them to take a nap peacefully.
According to YY the house also had the usual ‘mashida za ploti’ water being the major issue.
Kingori also shared another struggle he went through together with fellow comedians such as Butita.
The comedians lived in an inaccessible area, in that it was hard to get to the place past 9 pm yet the Churchill show performance ended in 11 pm.

What they would do is come together and gather the few coins they had that would to be enough to buy cheap soft drinks at Odeon so that they can stay there till morning.
“Tulikuwa tunakuja hapa hivi base za chipo za tao tunachanga, tunachanga soda enye itakaa kwa meza ndio tukae nikama tunakaa tunaweza afford kitu, soda ya 40/- unapiga soda mpaka asubuhi.” Kingo’ri narrated.
His lowest moment came when everything in his house was taken by a shylock since he had taken a small loan.
From his home theatre to his bed, to the mattress to the computer his house was left completely empty.
