Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua has weighed in on former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General Mukhisa Kituyi’s alleged nude video widely circulated on social media.
Through his Twittere page, the KFCB boss warned that making and release of such videos is illegal and against the films and plays act.
“Making videos of others while naked, with or without their approval, is a breach of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222. No film or class of film for public exhibition shall be made without a filming license from the Board,” he wrote.
Mukhisa’s alleged nude video was leaked a week after he was accused of assaulting a woman at a hotel in Mombasa County.
The lady, Diana Opemi Lutta claimed she was pushed by the politician and fell from bed before he kicked her while on the ground, leaving her with injuries on the left knee.
The report was filed at Nyali Police Station where the woman was issued with a P3 form to seek medication on injuries she claims to have sustained during the scuffle.
