The former head of TV and digital boss at K24 Peter Opondo has landed a gig at Standard Group.
According to a leaked internal memo, Opondo has been appointed the Strategy and Content Editor, Broadcast.

The memo sent out by the CEO Orlando Lyomu read in part,
“In pursuit of the business growth and alignment with the new business environment, I am pleased to announce the following appointment with effect from 1 February 2021 in our Editorial Department.”
Adding,
“Mr. Peter O. Opondo has been appointed the Strategy and Content Editor, Broadcast of the Standard Group PLC with effect from 1. February 2021. This position puts Mr. Opondo in charge of editorial content in all the Standard Group, broadcast properties.”

The new appointment memo praises Opondos’s skills.
“A seasoned journalist and media executive, Mr. Opondo has over 18 years’ experience in broadcast, print and digital media.
