Gengetone group Ochungulo family, consisting of Nelly The Goon, Benzema and D’more have made a decision to split up.
The group is one of the most sought-after Gengetone groups in Kenya.
From the speculations, it is not known what made the group to split and currently their YouTube channel is owned by Nelly the Goon.
Their songs that had millions of views collectively on YouTube have been deleted from the channel after being in existence since 2018.
Before uniting, each individual was a solo artist.
After coming together, the Ochungulo family made good attraction with the release of the song Bora Uhai by D’more and Nelly the Goon in 2018.
After the release of Bora Uhai, the group made a progress that made them realease the next song ‘Krimino’ and ‘Na Iwake’, a Gengetone banger which also introduced Benzema as part of Ochungulo Family.
Both of the songs set the stage for the group’s success.
Benzema, popularly known as Alejandro is one of Ochungulo’s most talked-about members because of his explicit lyrics and antics.
‘Focusing on being a rich wife,’ Saumu Mbuvi states
Last year, he was featured on rapper Noti Flow’s single Foto Moto.
In a statement, the members wrote,
“To all our Fans… We wanna say Thank you for the support you have given us the past for few years. You have been good to us, God has been good to us & the music has been good to us. We have reached a point we have different goals & targets. So the decision of us splitting is a mutual feeling and we saw that as the best way forward. Again, Thank you so much for the support!!! We shall meet again. God bless you.”
