Popular Tanzanian artiste Ilunga Khalifa whose street moniker was Cpwaa is dead.
He passed on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) where he was undergoing treatment for acute pneumonia.
Cpwaa is famed for hits like Action, Problem, So Pwaa, Six in the Morning, among others.

He is famous for working with Suma Lee and the late Ngwair. In a past interview with EATV, Cpwaa spoke about why he always worked with Ngwair on music projects.
“Marehemu Ngwair nlivyokutana nae nilimuelewa sana alikuwa na kitu cha tofauti. Na yeye ndiye msanii wa bongo niliyemshirikisha kwenye ngoma zangu nyingi.” Cpwaa said.
Before his demise, Cpwaa was known for his motivational post. In one Instagram post, he wrote,
“Stay focused and never look back! It’s you who have a bigger picture and bird eye view of your plans, dont be discouraged by those who see bits n pieces. Short week long weekend loading! Natural Hair Therapy done by @j_handroz #MyEP #ItsAMovie 👑.”

In yet another post that had nuggets of wisdom, Cpwaa wrote,
