Controversial Apostle Joseph Hellon together with his wife were on a media tour after he announced that he is running for office come 2022.
Speaking to Ali Baba on the Radio Jambo mid-morning show on Friday (February 19), Hellon explained why it took him 11 years to announce again that he is running for President. He also clarified his relationship with Esther Arunga.
“I have gone through baptism by fire and media scrutiny. I’m now older and wiser and I have restrategized on how I will do this. we were 10 years ahead with our manifesto (for the finger of God political party). we have modified it a bit.”

Asked how he will get the money to run his campaign, Hellon told Ali Baba,
“We have the money, I have never gotten money from the church. I never take tithe and offering, when you look at our church profile online, we don’t take money but if someone offers well and good, we will take it. We have businesses and that is how we make our money.”
Asked why he is running for president and not for a lower post like MCA then work his way up?
Hellon said,
“When your calling is the tail then wag it, mine is the head, that is where I will start. I have always been at the top.”

He added that when he wins, he will still play the saxophone in Statehouse like Bill Clinton.
“I will continue playing my saxophone even in Statehouse and the church will continue. Yes, I will still preach. But It will not be my job to convert Kenyans but those who follow me there are free. Wanasiasa ndio wanaichafua. Siasa sio chafu.That is why we are coming to clean up the political game.”
Asked if he has been in touch with former news anchor Esther Arunga – who was his former running mate.
Hellon said, “She is my cousin, we haven’t spoken since 2010. She said that I told her to stay away from Quincy Timberlake, She said she wants nothing to do with me. That was the last time we talked.”
At that time, Esther was living in his Runda home together with her fiance Quincy Timberlake.
Describing his experience with Quincy, Hellon said,
“That guy was not 100%, he joined our church looking for help. As a preacher, when someone who needs help comes your way asking for help, you cannot chase them away. But in my congregation, there were those who knew about him and I had no idea. I knew him from way back as my deskmate in class 2. 20 years later he sought me out.”

Hellon added,
“If I was given a chance like three or so weeks to get to know him well I would have avoided a lot. Two weeks after (meeting him) we were arrested, so now my immediate plan was to first get out of the trouble we were in then, deal with other issues. I could not do that when all of us were in custody.”
Adding,
“Three weeks after meeting him is when I realised he had conned me.”
