Media personality Muthoni wa Mukiri has opened up being a toxic relationship. The Inooro TV presenter speaking on her YouTube Channel, on how to get over a heartbreak, she said,
‘A couple of years ago I went through a heartbreak. I broke up with someone that I loved but it was a toxic relationship. There was a lot of insecurities and he was very controlling.’
‘It got to a point I had to leave. I really pleaded to get out and eventually I broke it up with him.’
The soft-spoken presenter revealed how she was so hurt after calling it quits.
‘I was in so much pain and I feel that was like my first heartbreak ever. I lost a lot of weight, my face broke out, nothing was working in my life and at some point, I had to get a therapist,’ she narrated.
‘I just wanted to stay in bed and cry all day. I just wanted to cuddle a ball and look at my phone to see whether he’d call me mind you I broke it off and wanted it to end…’
Muthoni said for a heartbreak you cannot go to a hospital for treatment and you have to it feel it every step of the way.
I got over him and right now I’m dating, seeing someone who isn’t in the media and he is a very private person.
Advising those going through a breakup, she said,
‘Cut off communication with them. block them and delete those threads. When you block someone you block yourself from thinking about them and that will be easier for you to move forward.’
