Eric Omondi spoke out about his relationship with Chantal Grazioli saying that she is one of the people who understood and loved him for who he was.
However, they broke up because Chantal got a job as a flight attendant and he could not hold her back.

Chantal got the job after Eric had discouraged her from taking a job at the popular fast food restaurant, KFC, and later she was not successful in finding another job in Kenya.
Speaking to Massawe Japanni, Eric said,
“She understood me very well.”
Their breakup was very civil. They each put out a statement on social media. Eric wrote,

“I was with her for four and a half years, she was looking for something to do. She got a job at KFC and we were like how will it look like?”
Adding,
“Later, She got a job in one of the airlines she was to go for 11 months with no leave, at the time we were very serious. When she called me and said she has gotten the job, I had a moment, I told her don’t let go of the job, don’t let us run your life, I’m living my life doing comedy and loving it and that is something you want to do. I told her, you go do it and anytime she needs me, I’m here.”
