“So bro wangu akaniambia, ‘Niaje,’ hakuwa anataka kunishow dad amedie akanishow, ‘Ile dooh ya woofer ushabuy?’ nikamwambia bado. Nikamuuliza kwani tuko na matanga? Ni ya nani? I could hear people crying and screaming in the background. Akaniambia, ‘beshte yako amedie.”
“My dad was one of my best friends. My bro then akapatia mathe simu, mathe couldn’t even talk. that same day is the day I was employed at Kiss FM and my dad had left a letter and told me to build mum a home and make sure my siblings go to school.”

He noted that the death of his father was heard to get over.
“It is bitter. it is something you can never get over.’
As per the wish of his late dad, Jalas has managed to take his siblings through school, built a house for his mum and is also building a home in his village.
