Congolese rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide is mourning the demise of his mother Angelique Aminata which occured on Saturday, October 3.
The accomplished yet controversial crooner took to his Facebook to break the sad news, his fans joining in condoling with him.
In a video he posted on his page, the visibly jaded Koffi spoke of the affection he had on his mother being her only kid, asking her in the video to greet his late father.
“To you the flowers to us the tears…Mom this October 3rd God decided you go find Dad. I give thanks to God Mom…So much I loved you. In me you’ll always and forever stay…Rest in peace Mama Ami…” Koffi mourned.
The goner whose illness remains unknown was a grandmother to five namely Didi Stone, Minou Olomide, Aristote Olomide, Pirlo Mourinho, and Rocky Olomide all fathered by Koffi Olomide.
The musician first in four years toured Kenya on March 11 this year after his unceremonious deportation in 2016 following an ugly altercation in which he engaged one of his female dancers moments after touching down at the JKIA.
The visit was in preparation for a grand gig in Nairobi’s Carnivore which was slated for May 9 but all got null thanks to the covid-19 plague that has ravaged the country since March.
