Former Inter Milan player McDonald Mariga is officially back in the November 7 Kibra by-election after a brief hitch.
One of his biggest supporters in the race has been Dennis Oliech who has nothing but praise for Mariga. He revealed that Mariga may not be the most qualified political leader since he is very green in the game but he is a better candidate than some of the trumpet blowers in the political field.
He made this revelation in a post that read, “I don’t support ODM, neither do I support Jubilee, I support visionary leadership. Politics aside, Mariga might not be one of the best leaders but he remains that one that will listen to ideas and will implement, I know the boy better than the trumpet blowers, as a former Harambee Stars Captain, he already qualifies as a leader.”
Mariga Cleared by IEBC
On Monday, Mariga was cleared by The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Dispute Resolution Committee following revelations that he was not a registered voter.
Beaming with happiness, Mariga said, “I thank God for today’s process. The IEBC has done justice. I will now go to Kibra and talk to the people because they are the people with the votes.”
Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen was also pleased that justice had been served to Mariga.
“Justice has been done for our brother Mariga. This by-election is not about anything but service to the people of Kibra,” he said.
