Mpesa Lady actor and comedian George Kagwe has come out to remember his late father in an emotional post.
The actor who has brought Kenyans so much laughter and happiness is not doing so well this month.Taking to his Instagram page, the funny guy revealed that since his father’s passing 8 years ago, his life and Decembers have never been the same. He revealed that he watched his father take his last breaths of life.
“December has never been the same for me. 8 years ago a day like today, the rains were pouring and it looked as gloomy. I watched my dad at about 10:15 am take his last few breaths of life. He will forever be our hero and cancer warrior. He fought the good fight, his race had come to an end,” wrote George.
In remembering him, he highlighted how his father always made their Decembers memorable while growing up.
“Dad had made our Decembers memorable ever since we were little. Random shopping sprees, that mbuzi choma, dad taught me how to slaughter and roast a goat. December was sunny and bright despite the weather. But now it seems gloomy and cloudy,” he said.
He opened up on the fact that after all these years, he is still healing.
“They say healing takes different lengths of time, I am still healing. I will always miss you dad,” he wrote.
