Gospel award-winning star Daddy Owen was hard-pressed to address the status of his marriage in an interview with Massawe Japanni on her show Butani La Massawe.
Massawe asked him why he is still wearing his wedding ring.
Daddy Owen responded, “Niwekee wazi imfaidi nani? (I put it out there, then? Whom will it benefit?)”
Massawe asked, “Ni ukweli?”

The gospel star said,
“Let me tell you, the important thing is my children, all that happens in my life I have to consider the child. I cannot say anything without that consideration. I’m the famous one here I’m in the position to say it. but i will not throw blame.”
“The important thing is the peace I experience. Marriage is good but you also have to respect and love each other it gets to a point where you both have to chose love. And as a man, we need to normalise seeking help and normalise talking about the issues we are going through, it will help you.”

Asked how his mother is taking all this, Daddy Owen said,
“The important thing is to find out of I’m fine and she supports me 100%. My family and friends stand with me. This is because I spoke out about my depression if you don’t speak no one will know and you will not get any help.”
