Jacquey Nyaminde, better known by her stage name Wilbroda, has finally opened up about how she left her role on the popular Citizen TV show, Papa Shirandula, after she was fired by the RMS management.
While speaking in an interview with Word Is, Wilbroda explained how she got dismissed by her boss and onscreen husband, Papa Shirandula after she left to work for a rival radio Station, Milele FM.
Wilbroda was a core character in Papa Shirandula since its birth a few years ago. She played the role of Shirandula’s wife and her character was greatly adored by many.
But early last year, Wilbroda left the Citizen TV show to work for Milele FM. This obviously created some conflict of interest and Charles Bukeko, aka Papa Shirandula, had to fire her.
“I just had to take some break mainly because I was going to a new media house and, therefore, there must have been some conflict of interest,” she said.
Wilbroda however admitted that she was still good friends with her TV husband, Papa Shirandula even though he fired her.
“However, we are still good friends outside here and we even talk,” said Wilbroda
Wilbroda went on to explain that the show hadn’t announced that she left Papa Shirandula yet and that she was still open to renegotiations. She admitted that her position had not yet been taken and that her role was still a big plus for the show.
“We left it open and that is why even the show has not announced that Wilbroda left because there is still room for negotiations for me to go back,” she said.
